Podcast: A Closer Look at Chinese EVs

While automakers like Tesla and Polestar have been building and selling EVs built in China for years, there is a new electric vehicle from the country that's filled the world of social media, the ultra-inexpensive Chinese EV. 

In this week's podcast, I talk about the sub-$10,000 EVs (specifically the BYD Seagull) being introduced in China and why that particular version of the vehicle won't be showing up on American shores anytime soon. A lot has to do with country-by-country regulatory hurdles. It's why the version sold in Mexico is more than double that magical $10,000 price tag.
