Engineering Support Specialist - North Reading, MA

New Journey AI/Genesis10 is actively seeking a resource for a 6 month Contract position with potential extension or conversion.

The Engineering Support Specialist collects component and system information from hardware development engineers, searches for existing part numbers or creates new ones, and structures product information into Bills of Material. Revision Change Orders are managed by this employee and product revisions are controlled. This employee works with the Finance team to report on and understand product costs. This employee controls engineering documentation accuracy and disbursement to internal and external customers.

Job responsibilities:

• Item Master add, change, and delete control
• BOM Data creation and management
• RCO implementation and control at Contract Manufacturers
• Product Data and document management
• Help Contract Manufacturers with data access issues, and monitor their access

Basic qualifications:

• 3+ year BOM (Bill of materials) relevant creation and control experience
• 3+ years working with electronics components and knowledgeable about their characteristics
• 2+ years working with Product Life Cycle management systems including Agile
• Experience with Sales and Operation planning process.
• 1+ years working with ERP (Enterprise resource planning) management systems
• 2+ years of MS Excel experience - vlookup, pivot table expert
• 5+ experience with component approval and Engineering Documentation preferred
• Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills
• AS degree or other two year post-secondary technical education/training program
• Ability to assist in component research and qualification by working with degreed engineers
• Experience with Supply Chain management and operations, including purchase order generation

Compensation: $33.00 per hour
