They are looking for a Product Configuration Specialist to provide document control and configuration management support to all department projects and systems

Our Client manufacturers highly engineered luminance niche products for the aerospace, military and medical markets from their modern facility in Southwestern Connecticut. In particular, our client manufactures photometers, luminance targets, integrating spheres, laboratory power supplies, and luminance standards, catering to Aerospace, Ground Vehicle and Shipboard lighting applications.

Description
  • Maintain ERP and Product Configuration database as required for item masters, product structures and bill of materials.
  • Manage ECO process and collaborate with all responsible parties to ensure the proper execution of all required activities.
  • Establish Configuration/Data Management policies and best practices.
  • Create work breakdown structures.
  • Implement and maintain new Product Configuration Management software.
  • Train other employees on Configuration Management processes.
  • Analyze proposed changes to product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
  • Assist production with Cost Estimation tools and procedures.
  • Work with engineers to ensure that project documentation is in accordance with quality and change management procedures and guidelines, to ensure project information is properly organized and archived.
  • Coordinate the interaction between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Program Management to ensure appropriate changes are documented.
  • Create training materials for employees inside and outside of the department.
  • Assist with the completion of drawings red-lined by Project Managers and Engineers.

Profile

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
  • Autodesk Inventor.
  • Autodesk Vault or Similar Software.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
  • Microsoft Office.

Education and Work Experience:
  • 4 years Bachelor of science degree and 5 years of relative work experience, or:
  • 2 years Associates degree and 10 years of relative work experience

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
  • Optical Design software: Trace-Pro or equivalent.
  • CAD: AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • CAE: Autodesk Simulation or SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS.
  • Microsoft Office

Job Offer
  • Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000
