Role: Application Support Engineer EE Tracking System
Location: Newark NJ ( Remote with 10% Travel onsite) Can be anywhere in US.

Job Description:
This position is specific to application support of an Energy Efficiency (EE) tracking system used for managing energy efficiency programs. As a support engineer, this position is responsible for the following:
Provides daily support with resolution of escalated tickets. Applies operation break fixes and other proactive maintenance activities until permanent solutions can be implemented. Supports and participates in the software deployment process for new modules, upgrades and fixes to the production environment.
Works with vendors to resolve production issues for EE tracking system specifically eTrack, eTRM
Analyzes end-user needs and designs, develops and tests software to satisfy demand. Performs build versus buy analysis for business demand.
Serves as domain specific subject matter expert for EE tracking system.
Works as a liaison between LOB clients, vendors, and IT teams to provide solutions.
Evaluate existing applications and platforms and provides recommendations for improving application performance by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in the scope of modifications.
Creates process flowcharts, diagrams, and other related documentation; Develops technical workflows using different modeling techniques.
Collaborates with enterprise architects and infrastructure to integrate applications and hardware.
Documents functions and changes to new or modified modules and test activities/results.
Responsible for vendor solutions i.e. end to end accountability:
Requirements:
Candidate will be required to have:
2 years of experience working with utility energy efficiency capital projects, hands on experience with eligibility, enrollment, and investment tracking workflows.
Experience with Energy Efficiency programs Tracking systems systems (such as ANB, AEG, Energy Orbit, Dynamic DSM, or similar) is given priority over other candidates. This experience is preferred for this role.
2 years of experience in production support and incident management
2 years of professional experience in Business Analysis and requirements definition
2 years of experience in gathering and documenting requirements.
2 years of business process modeling experience
Demonstrated experience utilizing program and project management tools, such as JIRA, ServiceNow, confluence or Microsoft Project to plan, execute, and measure projects
Knowledge of all aspects of testing end-user products: Functional, Performance, Security, Usability, etc.
Basic Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field i.e. Science, Technology, Engineering or Math or relevant experience
Demonstrated leadership capabilities through projects or other work planning experiences
Understanding of and experience in IT project management methodologies, requirements management, quality assurance and IT processes.
Requires broad knowledge of the business area's functions and applications, and of system and technology alternatives.
Demonstrated experience managing outsourced vendors (on and off shore) within the information technology field.
Desired:
Candidates with experience in eTrack and eTRM is preferred
Technical/software certifications in Energy Efficiency products
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
