We sell our products primarily to automotive aftermarket retailers, program distribution groups, warehouse distributors, original equipment manufacturers and original equipment service part operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Mexico and other Latin American countries.
We employ approximately 4,300 people in North America, Europe and Asia.
General Description OF Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional Customer Service.
• Works with all departments within Corporate IT and across SMP to identify new products and solutions.
• Must be able to document correctly all work using company standard application - Track-IT
• Document WAN and LAN network infrastructure.
• Maintain all required corporate IT Network SOX compliance documentation.
• Data Center: Generator, UPS, AC units, monitoring devices, room security etc.
• Expert in the following areas:
o All SMP Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint and Backups
o Virtualization VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, SANs etc.
o Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
o Deploys and troubleshoot all VOIP technologies.
o WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, load balancers, switches, access points, WAN scalers, security across SMP.
o Disaster Recovery
o Microsoft Azure
o Enterprise-level exposure to GPO
o Cybersecurity
• Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications.
• Perform network assessments and security audits.
• Communication with customers as required, keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of pending changes or agreed outages.
• Be available for other IT engineers and non-engineers coach them to resolution.
• Assist users with their IT needs via help desk phone, WO system email and other forms of communication across entire organization.
• On call 24/7.
• Plus all duties of IT Network Admin, Jr. Network Admin and Help Desk.
work experience requirements
• 8+ years of experience as an IT Network Administrator and IT Help Desk combined.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the following areas routing, switching configuration including VLAN, Voice Technologies (MPLS, SIP Trunking, VOIP, ISP), Cisco equipment, WIFI, SAN Management, Server Infrastructure (AD, Data, Exchange, SQL, Print, Web, Reporting, Terminal Server, etc.).
• VMWare and SAN deployment and management.
• Citrix deployment and management.
• Ability to adhere to all SOX requirements.
• Ability to use Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Project, Visio).
• Some Travel Required.

- IT Bachelor's degree required
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent
- MSCE preferred or 4 + years' experience
- VMware certification VCP or 2+ years' experience
- Citrix certification or 2+ years' experience
