Minimum Salary : $88,317 - $90,000
Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
Duration : Regular Hire
Work week : Full-time
Travel : Required travel includes half-day project site visits 2-3 times per month to locations in the greater Los Angeles/Orange County metro areas.
Experience: 4 years of experience with Environmental review and impact analysis or related. Requires skills and experience to include: Working within California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regulations; Technical Analysis of Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Emissions; Preparing Energy Phase I ESAs, and Visual Impact Assessments; Working with air quality and noise models, including CalEEMod, EMFAC, CALINE4, and AERMOD models; Basic acoustics principles; Analysis methodologies; Regulatory guidelines; Using equipment to measure noise and vibration in both outdoor and indoor environments; TNM 2.5, SoundPLAN, and INSUL; and Management and preparation of Initial Studies, EIRs, joint documents, and other CEQA/NEPA documents.
Job duties : Under minor supervision, conducts environmental impact analyses associated with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), performs calculation and modeling for air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, energy, and noise analyses for both private and public planning and development projects. Reviews project specifications and confers with managers and other technical staff to determine assistance required in plan preparation, evaluation of project conditions, design changes, and reports. Coordinates or performs fieldwork to gather data and materials. Performs research to support project tasks. Reviews data to prepare analyses and reports. Uses software applications to edit, manipulate, and report project/production data. Performs calculations and analyses to support project objectives. Interacts with client to ensure satisfactory customer service. Creates client communications, invoices, and cost estimates. Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members, management, and clients. Works with other technical and administrative workers engaged in project activities. Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.
