Job Description
We are seeking a Senior FPGA Design Engineer for a 12-month contract role in Broomfield, CO. This role will work a hybrid schedule- consisting of onsite/in-office work between 1-3 days per week onsite with the remainder of the week working remotely (Monday- Friday with flexible hours). This role can work at the Senior OR Principal level and has the chance to extend further and/or go permanent. Due to the requirements of the projects supported, this role will require the selected applicant to be a U.S. Citizen.
This role will be supporting a range of programs (classified and unclassified ) focused on remote sensing applications. The ideal candidate for this role would be able to own an entire design and can collaborate on the functionality on what FPGA needs to do. The primary language is VHDL.
What You'll Do
Design digital hardware including FPGA development for space-based, high reliability electronic systems. Assignments include designs which will include SOC architectures utilizing soft-core processors, digital filters, image processing algorithms, and communication interfaces/protocols.
Design and implement test fixtures including test plans for both chip-level and board level environments and create reusable circuits that can be utilized across multiple projects.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
