EH&S Data Analyst & Incident Investigator Roles and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a EH&S Data Analyst & Incident Investigator within our GEMTE team located at our Houston. This position requires _30 % domestic / global travel.

The Data Analyst & Incident Investigator is responsible for establishing databases that provide an opportunity to track all EH&S incident data from the Projects in the Americas. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting Incident investigations of Recordable and HPFA Events. Although primarily an office-based role, the incumbent will be required to spend time on Site to support investigations throughout the Americas.
Job Description
Collect and manage EHS data from various sources including incident reports, safety inspections, and compliance audits. Analyze EHS data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern. Support the development and implementation of safety campaigns. Collate incident reports for the SIRB monthly / Quarterly reviews. Participate in RCAs when requested. Generate regular reports (Monthly, Quarterly / Annual) on EHS performance, including incident rates, compliance levels, and progress towards EHS goals. Work closely with Americas EHS staff to ensure accurate data collection and reporting. Utilize data analysis tools and software to effectively manage and analyze EHS data. Assist in the development of EHS policies and procedures based on data analysis. Support EHS audits and inspections by providing necessary data and analysis. Train other staff on data collection and reporting procedures as necessary. Stay current on local, national, and international EHS regulations to ensure accurate reporting. Participate in EHS meetings and present data analysis findings. Be familiar with all BSP tools. Performs incident investigations using cross-functional teams to interview witnesses, review procedures/regulations, gather timelines, and observe the scene. Then, determine causal factors and recommend corrective/preventative actions. Supporting the preparation of incident investigation reports and action plans.

Required Skills / Abilities:

Bachelors Degree in EH&S or related science/engineering area.
Good English skills (reading, writing, & speaking).
Proven experience in data analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
Proficiency in data analysis software and tools such as SAP-EM, Qliksense, MS-Forms and Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different stakeholders.
Y-TREE, ICAM, SOLOGIC or TapRoot Training.
Working knowledge of best professional EH&S practices in conducting accident investigations, compliance audits and project health surveys.
Proficiency in assisting construction with development of risk assessments and associated job hazard analysis.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to explain, explore and discuss safety issues with range of stakeholders.
Skilled in working collaboratively with others in a complex integrated environment.
