We're looking for an organized, dynamic, and collaborative Product Manager Intern to drive both the direction and development of industry-leading digital lidar product suite across a range of industries. As part of the Product team, you will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements. You will be working with Engineering, Quality, Marketing, and Support teams to ensure that our product offering enables revenue and customer satisfaction goals to be met.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with users and customers to understand their real needs, core issues, and problems in order to proactively define and drive product objectives, requirements and constraints

• Assess market trends, competitive threats and identify product requirements that enable sustained competitive advantage.

• Succinctly translate relevant product research into business case documentation

• Represent the end-user in technical discussions

• Work closely with engineering and operations to develop Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), prioritize requirements, and manage change requests for software and hardware features

• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations Managers to identify cross-team dependencies, balance new projects with tech debt, and calculate capacity and estimate effort for upcoming plans

• Take products through their release process. Be the de facto point of contact and Go-To-Market manager by working cross functionally to ensure a successful release .

• Responsible for interfacing with engineering and turning technical implementation into documentation for customer end use

Minimum qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field

• Internship and/or Teaching Assistant experience in a similar technical field

Desired Skills:

• Experience with technical products and hardware products

• Experience in the lidar, autonomous vehicle/robotics industry, or a related field, is a plus but not required

• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail

Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
