Recently, the Company broke ground on the construction of a new state-of-the-art thermal waste treatment facility located in the southwest region of Arkansas. In this highly visible role, you will be an integral member of the Company's (Owner's) Project Team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager on this $350M modernization effort. It is expected you will be involved in the following:

Who we are looking for / Requirements
Our client is seeking to employ the services of a talented Automation Engineer encompassing the following:
- 10 years of relevant work experience in an EPC contractor environment for large capital projects such as Oil/Gas, Chemical or Hazardous Waste design and construction projects
- Previously performed as a lead Project Engineer for at least 5 years, preferably with a background in automation systems design in an EPC environment building large plants (Oil/Gas, Chemical, Hazardous Waste Plants etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related field
- Proven skills in automation systems design for large capital projects
- Process design and analysis skills of various Controls systems that optimize various processes, energy consumption, and operational costs in a plant
- Demonstrated project engineering management skills (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing)
- Ability to work effectively with various cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of ABB DCS systems, preferably 800XA, preferably 800XA
- Excellent analytical, organizational, computer and interpersonal skills
- Highly effective communication, presentation and reporting skills.
What you will do / Responsibilities
In this highly visible role, you will be an integral member of the Company's (Owner's) Project Team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager on this $350M modernization effort. It is expected you will be involved in the following:
- Lead reviews of automation design deliverables to ensure all process control concerns have been addressed consistent with operational performance and safety requirements
- Reporting onsite and interfacing daily with other members of the project team to address on-going design, engineering or process issues and to ensure successful completion and startup of the plant.
- Assist in final development of controls philosophies and other pertinent automation design basis documents
- Participate in development of DCS graphics (HMI)
- Participate in FAT for DCS systems
- Oversee site work related to setting up of DCS and loading of software
- Interface with MOMs project to ensure project automation communicates to site-based systems seamlessly and that all data is provided as required
- Review EandI RFIs and any design change submittals to ensure there is no impact on automation and if impacted to make changes as needed
- Participate in construction punch lists with EandI engineer
- Support Commissioning Engineer in development and execution of Commissioning Plan
- Assist in developing equipment performance testing plan
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to the Engineering Manager regarding the status of engineering issues affecting project cost, quality and schedule.
