Recently, the Company broke ground on the construction of a new state-of-the-art thermal waste treatment facility located in the southwest region of Arkansas. Once completed, the facility will be the most advanced, environmentally efficient of its kind in the United States. It will feature the most advanced technology available on the market for capturing emissions and preserving air quality and natural resources in the community.

Who we are looking for / Requirements
Our client is hiring for an onsite Mechanical Engineer possessing the following:
- 10 years of relevant engineering experience in an EPC contractor environment for large capital projects such as Oil/Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Hazardous Waste design and construction projects
- Engineering background in mechanical equipment and systems design (e.g. rotary kilns, waste heat boilers, electrostatic precipitators, steam turbine generators, pumps, tanks, vessels) for large capital / construction projects
- Previously performed as a lead Project Engineer for at least 5 years
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated project engineering management skills (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing)
- Ability to work effectively with various cross-functional teams
- Broad knowledge of multiple processes and engineering disciplines augmented with practical work experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational, computer and interpersonal skills
- Highly effective communication, presentation and reporting skills.
What you will do / Responsibilities
In this highly visible role, you will be an integral member of the Company's (Owner's) Project Team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager on this $350M modernization effort. It is expected you will be involved in the following:
- Supporting and managing the Mechanical engineering activities related to this project from the Owner's perspective.
- Mechanical Design and Engineering related responsibilities for heat exchangers and boilers, incineration systems, pumps and fluid handling systems, HVAC, material handling and conveying systems, and energy / waste heat recovery systems
- Reporting onsite and interfacing daily with other members of the project team Engaging with the project team to address on-going design, engineering or construction issues to ensure successful completion and startup of the plant
- Manage engineering response to mechanical RFIs and any design change submittals
- Provide mechanical design input on all change orders and related plant projects
- Reviewing the Scope of Work packages to ensure that bidders have a complete and accurate understanding of the scope for installation and erection of equipment
- Coordinate mechanical construction punch lists and QA documentation with Construction Superintendent and QA Inspector
- Support Commissioning Engineer in development and execution of Commissioning Plan
- Assist in developing equipment performance testing plan
- Collaboratively and effectively lead efforts to resolve process design issues between Engineering-, Prime-, and Sub-contractors
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to the Engineering Manager regarding the status of engineering issues affecting project cost, quality and schedule.
