JOB DESCRIPTION

The GIS analyst will collaborate with team members of the GIS team on the scope and schedule of projects. They will collect and handle data, provide mapping services, perform technical research and analysis, and coordinate GIS requests. The GIS analyst will be expected to maintain extensive knowledge in Environment Rating Scales Institute (ERSI) solutions and successfully analyze data and present data visualizations. Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing support and expertise in the development of Select's GIS capabilities to meet strategic objectives.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
  • Designs and edits GIS data for numerous projects
  • Ensures alignment of data with company standards
  • Monitors and applies the best industry practices
  • Maintains data integrity and accuracy
  • Utilizes ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, or ArcGIS Online in data visualization
  • Develops sustainable systems of collecting and managing data points
  • Assists with training and technical support to end-users

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS Analysis, Environmental Science, Geography, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with ArcGIS
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Solid cartographic skills
  • Detailed project management and facilitation sills
  • Excellent attention to detail; verbal and written communication
