Overview

Stryten Energy, a new company name with a long history in the Niagara Falls, NY area, manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

Starting pay: $17.54 /hour, plus $.22/hour shift differential

Opening on D shift (7pm - 7am - rotating)

To be proficient at a minimum of three job functions as assigned. The job functions could include Vent Assembly Machine Operator.

Responsibilities

  • Load parts into injection molding machines
  • Remove completed plastic parts from the machines
  • Visually inspect parts; wipe clean and/or trim excess plastic using a small knife to ensure proper assembly and visual acceptance
  • Insert handles into covers when required
  • Load product into cardboard boxes or stack on skids
  • Act as Relief Operator when required
  • Occasionally sort lugs
  • Repair product as needed
  • Participate in Excell initiatives
  • Clean as directed per 5s/OPM standards
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Supply machines hoppers / bowls with component parts
  • Insure continous operation of machine by computer and machine monitoring
  • Pull full boxes away from machine; shake to settle contents and tape shut
  • Record required information on box labels and apply to individual boxes
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Stop production if necessary
  • Work on special projects as required
  • Assist Operators and Supervisors with any quality concerns.
  • Provide molding operations with plastic materials, cardboard, and skids per standard work
  • Remove and transport finished goods to warehouse or other designated storage areas
  • Manually lift and stack boxes of finished product
  • Wrap and identify finished skids per standard work
  • Supply rework to Operators
  • Maintain warehouse and storage location organization
  • Follow all safety requirements
  • Perform Quality Auditor duties as trained

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications:
  • High school or GED equivalent preferred, but not required

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
  • Physical requirements are defined in the associated job analysis.
  • Detail oriented
  • Prior production experience preferred
  • Good hand/eye coordination

Travel, other requirements:
  • As needed
