Inbound Operations Supervisor

Our Temperature Control Segment manufactures and distributes a full line of critical components for the temperature control (air conditioning and heating) systems, engine cooling systems, power window accessories and windshield washer systems of motor vehicles.

We sell our products primarily to automotive aftermarket retailers, program distribution groups, warehouse distributors, original equipment manufacturers and original equipment service part operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Mexico and other Latin American countries.

We employ approximately 4,300 people in North America, Europe and Asia.

Overall Scope

The Inbound Receiving Supervisor leads Distribution Center production employees through the daily duties of the respective area of operation. Resolve issues and motivate employees to safely produce quality products in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum associate degree and/or 5 years' experience in related field.
• Demonstrated experience with leadership, setting goals with follow-up, disciplinary issues, and policy enforcement.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Good organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Accountable to the Operations Manager for department performance in quality, cost, delivery, safety environment, and policy administration.
• Support planning of and management of departmental goals and metrics.
• Identify and help resolve distribution issues.
• Provide leadership for the operations employees in department.
• Ensure that employees within department have the necessary resources and training to accomplish department goals.
• Conduct coaching sessions, including performance evaluations, to improve associate performance.
• Recognize department and individual accomplishments.
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with all personnel.
• Ensure procedures for inbound shipments are being followed.
• Conduct daily huddle - up meeting to communicate business performance and have two -way discussions with employees.
• Lead employees through conflict resolution processes and mediate conflicts as needed. Resolve grievances and escalate higher-level disciplinary situations as appropriate.
• Counsel/Support hourly employees with needs/concerns as required. Document disciplinary issues.
• Approve Leave/Vacation per Company policy.
• Responsible for timely and accurate payroll data for department.
• Maintain adequate people/skills mix to run department in partnership with manager.
• Enforce all safety rules and company policies.
• Handles building security to include locking warehouse and setting alarms after the night shift.
• Other duties as required and assigned.

Ergonomic Focus and Additional Qualifications

• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Other physical demands: standing and walking; occasional bending/stooping; exposure to hot, cold, and dust.
• May require work during seasonal demands on alternate shift including evenings and weekends.
