Air Products has an immediate opportunity for aPlant Process Engineer (PPE) to join our Hydrogen and Carbon Monoxide (HYCO) team and will be based at our global headquarters in Allentown, PA!This position requires approximately 30% travel, primarily within the US and Canada.

Job Summary:
Primary process engineering support for a subset of the Standalone hydrogen plants, owner of the Fleet Reformer Monitoring and Balancing Program, and fleetwide support of outages, projects, and productivity.

Responsibilities:Process Engineering Support for Hydrogen Plants
Find opportunities and develop solutions to improve plant efficiency, capacity, and reliability
Review/approve Management of Change and support technical scope development for projects, turnarounds, and changes to plant equipment, instrumentation, and catalystsOwner of Fleet Reformer Monitoring and Balancing Program
Become an expert user of the Air Products thermal imaging camera, software, and reformer balancing work process and provide leadership by supporting site data collection efforts and taking ownership for the fleet compliance program
Lead inspection and calibration efforts, partnering with Air Products R&D and Equipment Technology Teams in Allentown, to prepare imaging cameras for field deployment
Travel to plant locations and perform camera setup and maintenance in the field, provide training to operators and engineers, and solve any issues that arise
Partner with R&D to develop the user interface for a fleetwide database and associated applications to capture, store, visualize, and use reformer balancing dataHYCO Fleet Process Engineer
Participate in plant tests to evaluate and monitor catalyst performance
Support root cause analyses, productivity projects, retrofits, and troubleshooting
Assistance with catalyst related process modeling and process condition monitoringMinimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Chemical Engineering
2+ years of experience in an engineering or operations rolePreferred Qualifications:
Microsoft products (particularly Excel)
Aspen Process Explorer/Process MD and Aspen Plus
Prior experience in HYCO plant operations or design
