Job Description
Your role:
Provideshigh quality reports to the cross-functional team and upper management which detailanalyticaland investigational results.
Operatex-ray to aid in analysis and investigations.
Operate the Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS)for precise targeted analysis of sample surfaces. Execution ofanalytical techniquesto support: high depth-of-field imaging, material surface analysis, investigation of product failures, reverse engineering, unknown material identification, RoHS compliance, dimensional measurements, and elemental identification, quantification and location mapping.
Operate Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR)to obtain an infrared spectrum of absorption or emissions ofsolid, liquid or gas samples to determine source of sample or identification of material.
Operate the UV-Visible spectroscopyto quantitatively analyzea specific analyte.
Operate thermal analysis equipment (including Differential Scanning Calorimetry, DSC, and Thermographic analysis, TGA)to characterize the physico-chemical properties (melting range, glass transition temperature, specific heat capacity) of unknown materials to study polymorphism phenomena, interactions between the components of a physical mixture (compatibility), process induced transformations (PIT) or to determine the eutectic purity of a substanceAND quantitatively detect mass lossesfor compositional analysis, for studying a samples behavior during pyrolysis or for deducing thermal stability.

Youve acquired 5+ years of experience in an analytical laboratory or related role
Your skills include:
Working understanding of problem-solving techniques such as pareto, cause & effect diagrams, PDCA, Ishikawa diagram, 5 Whys, 6-steps, 8D process, etc. is preferred
Ability to independently parallel process multiple failure analysis projects with previous experience in planning, execution, data interpretation, and reporting of results, ability to clearly present complex analytical data to key stakeholders and influence multi-functional root cause analysis teams verbally and through clear and concise technical reports
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with the agility to immediately shift activities to respond to factory emergencies or to address business critical requirements.
Proficiency in various Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office products and previous experience with Agile, Windchill, JMP, SAP, Oracle, JIRA and Concur preferred.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
You have an associate degree in electrical, mechanical, biomedical, chemistry, metallurgy, polymer, physics or related discipline

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position is $74,100 to $136,800, annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
