I am working with a leading EV Air company in Palo Alto who are on the cutting edge of eVTOL Aircraft and personal electric travel. They are a pioneering aerospace technology firm and are seeking a Senior Composite Design Engineer to join their team!
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Pioneer design and development of composite structures from design through to manufacture using composite materials and manufacture processes to ensure lightweight, high-strength components.
- Use CATIA and simulation tools to create composite part designs, drawings and validate structural integrity.
- Analyze test data and modify designs as necessary to enhance performance, safety and durability.
- Provide technical guidance, expertise and mentorship to Aeromechanical Team to ensure integration of composite components into eVTOL aircraft.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years Composite Design Experience focused on FEA analysis and component manufacture.
- M.S/B.S in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong experience in CAD software including CATIA.
- Strong experience with FEA and laminate optimization software or other composite structural analysis and simulation tools
