Applications Engineer
Our client, a leading supplier of exhaust gas silencers, piping, and after-treatment components, is seeking an Applications Engineer in their Northfield, MN location. You'll develop project plans, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with mechanical design teams and suppliers to write clear technical requirements, presenting them in formal and informal environments.

About the Role:
- Identify engineering needs and create business cases for capital expenditures.
- Create 3D SolidWorks models, drawings, work instructions, and other documentation to support customer projects, manufacturing, and product development.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing engineering performance and trends.
- Provide support in the implementation and maintenance of an ERP system.
- Utilize expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports to facilitate project design and quoting to meet customer specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 0-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product development, or R&D.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and/or Solidworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong customer engagement skills
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
