Our client, Lead Software product developer , is seeking a Researcher to join their team. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced research scientist with expertise in computational chemistry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ab initio quantum chemistry methods, small molecule optimization, and be proficient in the design, planning, and implementation of tools and technology to support AI-driven scientific research.

As a research scientist on the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design and development of computational chemistry workflows. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to understand requirements of the project, provide robust, scalable solutions, and drive consensus among members of a global team to deliver computational solutions effectively and on-time.
What's Needed?
This project focuses on developing and applying state-of-the-art ML-accelerated and generative models to solving important problems that can accelerate decarbonization, including in carbon removal, energy storage and energy efficiency.
Years of Experience Required - 5-7 years
• Degrees or certifications required - Researcher: PH.D required
• Best vs. Average -
Experience in the application of computational chemistry techniques, tools (e.g., electronic structure calculations and molecular mechanics) to model structures and properties of molecules.
Experience with atomistic simulation codes, data acquisition, and data analysis techniques.
Proficiency in Python; experience with scientific programming and algorithm design. Experience with applying machine learning, in particular modern deep learning approaches, to solve relevant scientific problems is a plus.
Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
PhD or equivalent work experience in Chemistry, Physics, Cheminformatics, or related field.

Excellent organizational and communication skills
