Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., is seeking a
Gen Gas Site Supervisor
for its Wichita Falls, Texas Air Separation Nitrogen facility. The Wichita Falls Site Supervisor also has responsibility for the Durant, OK VSA and PHG Generated Gasses facilities.

The Site Superintendent role is a key member of the Mid-Continent leadership team within the Industrial Gases Southern Subregion. This position will have day to day responsibility with a broad range of duties focused on ensuring all aspects of operational discipline are in place and functioning properly for the Wichita Falls, TX and Durant, OK facilities. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with the plant, distribution, and regional support teams as well as contractors. The position collaborates with the Central IGNA South maintenance team.

The Wichita Falls facility consists of one Air Separation plant with a gaseous Nitrogen and Oxygen product lines, which is transported via pipeline to our onsite customer Vitro Glass. The Durant, OK facilities produce high purity gaseous oxygen and hydrogen which is transported via pipeline to our onsite customer Cardinal Glass

Job Description and Qualifications

The facility employs one Site Supervisor who works in collaboration with a larger leadership team within the Mid-Continent region. The site is comprised of mechanical equipment and other utility ancillary equipment to support operations. You will be expected to learn and operate the plants to provide insight and direction to 3rd party contractors and pertinent feedback to the customer.

You will be responsible and accountable for maintaining the safety and environmental standards, the site, and overall operation. You will be responsible and accountable for reliability, improving efficiency and productivity results, labor costs and specific site cost centers. Additionally, you are responsible for the maintenance, project work, reliability, HR issues, leadership, workforce resources, cost control and asset management through relationships and alignment with horizontally integrated functional support organizations. The position reports to the Mid Continental Area Manager in the Industrial Gasses South Region.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Provide strong leadership and structure
Administer EH&S standards to ensure the protection of personnel, the community, and the environment.
Familiar with EMOC process.
Familiar with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies to work with corporate support
Direct and monitor facility operations to efficiently meet customer requirements.
Provide leadership to effectively identify and apply global standard methodologies and work processes.
Maintain superior community relations.
Lead asset management efforts to drive continuous improvement in business profitability.
Maintain outstanding customer relations through superior reliability and highly effective communications with customers.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of validated industrial experience including leadership
Experience in plant operations
A successful track record in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
A strong commitment to employee involvement, team building and diversity
Effective communications skills
Ability to interact with customer representatives and community leaders
A demonstrated commitment to asset management programs
