Position Overview
If you like to troubleshoot hardware, solve complex problems, and provide technical solutions, this is the role for you. As a Field Service Engineer, you'll work at one of our state-of-the-art facilities or at a customer site, where you will be the face of Applied Materials and an integral part of a vibrant and diverse team. Your primary role will be to ensure the successful implementation, operation, and maintenance of Applied Materials' products and/or services for our customers.
We train our Field Service Engineers to support the technology that the world relies on every day to manufacture semiconductor chips and related materials. You'll work in partnership with customers to install, maintain and upgrade their Applied Materials equipment, delivering world-class support for multimillion-dollar production systems. Your 4-month training rotation will begin at the heart of Applied Material's Manufacturing in Austin, TX. You will then travel to one of Applied Materials' state-of-the-art training facilities to receive hands-on training. Hardware Training may be at an international or domestic facility, depending on business needs, and will be assigned after onboarding. Once your training is complete, you will head to your "home site," where you will work side-by-side with your new team to complete your Customer Engineer Certification.
