Job description
The Field Support Specialist job function is responsible for supporting DEUS Solutions Engineering with Eltek BU products related to onsite customer product training, onsite technical assistance, assist with installation of Eltek products at customer locations, commissioning of Eltek products at customer locations, and resolve customer's questions specific to products and services.
Job Focus Description:
The Field Services Engineer focus specializes in providing on-site installation customer support and performing diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Performs feasibility and approves operational quality of system equipment. Provides customers assistance with the operation and maintenance of the system.
Minimum Education, Skills, and Experience:
Associates degree (or equivalent) in Electronics or related discipline is required.
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering or related discipline is desired.
Two to Four years of experience of Field Support of DC Power Systems
One to Three years of experience in installing DC Power Systems
Proficiency with computer software including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Knowledge and troubleshooting experience to safely work on battery backup power
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Reliable, organized, cooperative, flexible, and effective time management
Travel required 75% of the time
Physical Requirements
Performing tasks on a computer, standing, bending, reaching, walking, hand dexterity, ability to differentiate colors, seeing, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Detailed Description:
This position will be considered as the "go-to" person for field work. Performs on-site services, repair and/or installation of company product(s). This job may include any aspect of product field support, including system hardware and software on Eltek products. Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Serves as customer contact for service related problems. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures. Determines most cost effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime. Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues.
