DCS develops Robotic Technology Kernel (RTK), which is the Ground Vehicle Systems Center's (GVSC) library of modular software package that can be used for common ground autonomy software. The United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), located in Warren, Michigan, is the United States Armed Forces' research and development facility for advanced technology in ground systems. GVSC is dedicated to getting robotics capability into the hands of Soldiers.
Essential Job Functions:
Drives milestones to deliver autonomous ground vehicle systems (GVS) autonomy software.
Derives backlog items with priorities after interacting with stakeholders.
Functions as a technical specialist for in-vehicle autonomous ground vehicle systems testing.
Proactively drives topics that enhance the GVS product portfolio.
Executes AGILE development processes for autonomous GVS.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering and 2+ years experience.
Demonstrated Product Owner or software systems engineering experience or a combination of the two roles.
Willingness to act as an integration and test engineer to collect data for ROS-based autonomous GVS.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience working with GIT, Docker, AGILE, Bitbucket, Jira, and SIL.
Robotics and autonomous systems experience, e.g. ROS.
