Account Manager - Renewables
Position Overview
As the account manager, you will be responsible for managing client account for previous and new clients. Some clients are new leads some are referrals, so you will be responsible for meeting high standards of competency, quality, efficiency, and excellence.
As an account manager, you do not just "Sell". You follow each project from start to finish, communicating with clients throughout. You need to learn all about solar energy, backup power, financial drivers, construction life cycles, utility, and local jurisdiction requirements, and not be afraid to get their hands dirty. All our account managers start out in the field observing installation projects for one to two months so that they can learn about the team, parts, and process.
In partnership with our development team, you will work closely with our clients to understand their specific needs and help develop the best solutions to meet their requirements. You will work closely with every department - accounting, engineering, interconnection, as well as production.
As an account manager, you will be part of the continuous improvement of company standards, policies, processes, and culture.

Responsibilities
- Meet deliverables and deadline requirements.
- Goal Setting / Accountability / Workload Management
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code and other relevant regulations.
- Perform site assessments
- You will answer inbound referrals with a sense of urgency as well as cold call.
- Pay attention to all details, document everything in our ZohoOne CRM
- We use different subscriptions to help with proposals and energy analyses, such as Helioscope, Energy Toolbase, and Google spreadsheets, so strong computer skills are needed.
- Coordinating and collaborating with internal and external project teams, AHJs, and utilities to support meeting project goals.
- Manage a large volume of projects and responsibilities while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Continuous education to improve knowledge of new building codes, new equipment, and other developments in the industry and at Xero Solar.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1 years of experience with photovoltaic systems and energy storage solutions preferred
- 2 years of Customer Service Experience
- Excellent collaboration and leadership skills
- Motivated, intuitive, analytical, highly collaborative, team-oriented, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer and internet research skills; highly proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be comfortable working independently and across multiple levels and teams within the organization
