What we do:

The Hardware Systems Integration Manager (ESS) for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) is responsible for the proactive integration efforts between the system components into the aircraft level for the prototype and production aircraft. The Hardware Systems Integration Manager (ESS) will own the CAD definitions, integration requirements, certification planning, and aircraft integration of the Energy Storage System. This role will work collaboratively with multiple disciplines across the company including airframe, propulsion systems, battery modules, high voltage and low voltage EWIS, test and certification, safety, and suppliers.

This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.

What you can do:
  • Lead the development of certifiable energy storage system and develop processes for integration and manufacturing of subcomponents
  • Responsible for defining systems requirements, performing system integration, developing test cases, support onsite/offsite testing and review test reports and data to supplement design decisions
  • Lead multifunctional teams across different sites to implement the architecture strategy
  • Coordinate the design and implement of the systems/subsystems for a certifiable high voltage energy storage system
  • Participate in gate reviews (PDR, SRR, CDR, etc.) with internal or external collaborators
  • Act as the point of contact for certification and integration matters
  • Facilitate meeting program timelines by ensuring required components are available for ESS team
  • May require up to 25% of domestic and international travel
  • Other duties as assigned
What you can contribute:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics required; Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in R&D environment preferred (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience of OEM integration
  • Experience at creating and reviewing technical drawings and schematics, GD&T, and engineering specifications
  • Experience with aircraft systems
  • Hands-on experience with testing methodologies, requirements development, test execution and data acquisition
  • Working knowledge of RTCA documents DO-178 , DO-160 and DO-311A
  • Working knowledge of safety analyses and processes, including Advisory Circular 23.1309-1E, 20-184, SAE ARP 4761, and SAE ARP 4754A
  • Knowledge in FAR Part 23/25/27/29, ARP 4761/4754A, good understanding of DO-160/178/254 requirements and other aerospace regulations/processes/standards
  • Strong familiarity with CAD design, and the ability to do hand calculations and create/integrate CAD models
  • Experience in electric vehicle technology experience
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to multitask and be able to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demanding timelines
  • Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Atlassian software: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.
You may also be able to contribute:
  • Extensive experience integrating and testing complex, highly integrated systems preferred
  • Experience with Solidworks, NX, CATIA preferred

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

The pay range for this position is:
$192,400 $289,120 USD
