The Hauppauge NY facility, manufactures and supplies engineered critical control components and sub-systems based on customer requirements to the aerospace and medical equipment markets. A new lean manufacturing facility, features a class 10K clean room for flight critical pressure regulators, model line cells for pneumatic weapons release systems, centrifuge production line for blood separation technologies, and an additional production area for kinetic switch components and modules.

POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

Reporting to the Sr. IT Architect Manager and VP General, the candidate will be responsible to ensure appropriate technical support to end users, participate in managing corporate IT assets and perform various related tasks to deployment, installation, repair and configuration of software and equipment for laptops/desktops and mobile devices. The position will support the local manufacturing facility.

Principal Activities:
  • Provide expertise on application capabilities / limitations as it relates to business needs, balancing process complexity, technical feasibility and capability with anticipated costs and benefits.
  • Troubleshoot operational incidents and usage issues as they arrive. Fix configuration issues, data issues, and 'addressable' defects
  • Provide enhanced levels of support including targeted end user training for specific job functions.
  • Perform system administration functions. Develop and assist in the operation of backup methods and procedures (disaster recovery) to cover conceivable contingencies
  • Develop/Program minor/medium level modifications following industry best practices.
  • Follow governance and compliance policies. Perform control reviews and produce evidence for technical systems.
  • Update runbooks, procedure documentation, control activities and procedures when required.
  • Act as the IT interface to various business groups. Perform monthly IT reviews with the business(es)
  • Document, present and perform approved change controls
  • Participate in key technology initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, or transformation activities.
  • Support the business on ad-hoc or planned activities like physical inventory, cost adjustments, user access, monthly close, and questions.
  • Proactively monitor and alert on application and process problems. This includes working to eliminate re-occurring incidents, minimizing impact, logging problems, initiating actions to resolve problems, implementing remedies, and preventing future incidents.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support as required. In some cases, temporarily monitor after hour processes or participate in off hour IT or business-related activities (ex: upgrades, patches, consolidations)
  • Ensure security is appropriately addressed within our area. Contribute to a security minded culture within the organization.
  • Manage third-party solutions. Act as a coordinator of incidents, upgrades, and vendor management.
  • Become knowledgeable of business operations.


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and concepts with business transactions (e.g
    inventory, WIP, finished goods, receiving and shipping)
  • Knowledge and experience with basic networking and access management and tools.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly strong customer skills interacting with key stakeholders
  • Possess a broad understanding of IT and business skills (ITIL framework knowledge is a plus).
  • Demonstrated application of security procedures and their audit results
  • Displays flexibility in approach to work scope and daily activities to ensure the site and company meets its production and financial goals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related technical / management field or experienced considered
  • 2+ years of ERP Vantage application support, problem management, configuration management, administration, and maintenance in a production manufacturing assembly environment preferred.
  • 3+ years with limited oversight
    Practical ERP (or general) implementation experience is a plus.

PAY RANGE: $60K-80K

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
