The objective of the Process Engineer Intern is to gain exposure to internal operations at Stryten Energy through hands on experience in manufacturing, engineering, processing and other areas of the company. We are looking for Process Engineer students for an internship beginning May 2024 through August 2024. This is a 40 hour week, paid opportunity but housing is not provided so you must have both housing and transportation.


  • Support Injection Molding Process control and capability using scientific molding principles.
  • Assist with molding improvements to include cycle time efficiencies, cavitation, scrap reduction, and establishment of optimal process parameters.
  • Support process improvement, cost reduction and correction actions teams.
  • Provide technical support for daily processing activities.
  • Assist in the set-up, repair, and troubleshooting of injection molding equipment.
  • Follow all Environmental, health & safety as they apply to the facility & work area.
  • Understand and follow the required safety guidelines such as lockout/tag out use of PPE.


Education, Experience, Certifications:
  • Currently enrolled college Junior or Senior with relevant coursework in Engineering/ Plastics Processing/ Manufacturing or related field.
  • Prior plastics injection molding experience preferred.

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and database softwares.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning.
  • Familiar with all aspects of scientific injection molding process.

Travel, other requirements:
  • Minimal if any travel.
