LevelTen Energy is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Data Warehouse on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a primary focus on Google BigQuery. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure to support data analytics and business intelligence needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Data Warehouse on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a primary focus on Google BigQuery. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure to support data analytics and business intelligence needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data engineering roles with a strong track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining Data Warehouses, particularly on the Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
- Expertise in SQL, with a focus on optimizing queries for performance and ensuring secure connections.
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data warehousing.
- In-depth knowledge of data governance and security principles.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and processing technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Infrastructure Development: Design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure to meet data analytics and business intelligence requirements.
- GCP and BigQuery Utilization: Work with GCP and BigQuery to ensure efficient data collection, processing, and accessibility for analysis and reporting.
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using GCP services.
- BigQuery Expertise: Leverage BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics, optimizing queries, and ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Data Modeling: Design and implement data models in BigQuery to ensure structured and organized data for efficient querying and reporting.
- Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to guarantee data accuracy and reliability.
- Data Governance and Security: Establish data governance and security policies in line with industry standards.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor data pipelines, identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimize SQL queries, and ensure cost-effective data processing.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation on the BigQuery environment, data engineering processes, pipeline configurations, and best practices.
- Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with the team and provide guidance and consulting where necessary.
- The estimated compensation for this position is $110,000 -130,000 base per year. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
