Position Summary:

The Sustainability & Climate Data Analyst will have global responsibility for evaluating and developing data systems, dashboards, environmental software, and reports in accordance with global Env. Standards and requirements. This role will own strategy for automation and visualization of GHG Scope 1, 2, and 3 inventory using top technology and tools. The Sustainability & Climate Data Analyst will perform regulatory, institutional and government body research to assist and further PTL's environmental strategy and climate commitments. The role will interact with multiple levels of the business and will ensure sustainability & innovation priorities are executed. This role will also have direct responsibility for leading submission to global frameworks, such as CDP and SBTIs.

Major Responsibilities:

• Lead tracking and measurement of environmental sustainability efforts across all Penske business

• Help develop systems for annual greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, disclosure, and forecasting processes

• Support delivery of clear and timely emissions data to business partners on a regular basis to inform decision making

• Support annual Sustainability Report data collection and analysis

• Support decarbonization activities in line with customer and project goals

• Project management: support the implementation of high-impact sustainability strategies throughout Penske's value chain and beyond, by identifying action items, checking in on progress, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on ESG frameworks and reporting standards

• Contribute to process improvements related to data collection, forecasting, and decarbonization

• Collaborate to improve actionable supplier emissions data, forecasting & incorporate supplier actual data into analysis

• Support other decarbonization programs as needed

• Assess and develop current procedures, KPI dashboards, best practices, and sustainability reporting

• Analyze internal products/services and highlight potential opportunities for improvements

• Assemble and prepare materials for presentations for all business lines (Tableau, PPT, Vizio)

• Other projects and tasks as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Technology, or Software Engineering required

• BSI, SAP, Oracle, Data Mapping, Sustainability Professional Certifications, LEED Certifications, CDP, SBTi, SASB, GRI

• 4 years of academic and/or work experience in sustainability, sustainability consulting and or climate tech - cross industry experience encouraged

• Skill/experience in sustainability software and services

• Experience in building dashboards and visualization tools (i.e. Tableau) and climate software solutions (Microsoft, Salesforce, AWS, etc.)

• Strong project management and KPI management experience

• Strong knowledge of global environmental standards and frameworks: SBTIs, CDP, CSRD, GRI, SASB, EPA Energy, SmartWay, SmartFreight

• Strong dashboard and visualization tool(s) experience

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Intermediate project management skills and demonstrated history of managing projects successfully

• Skill in presenting analytical outcomes and technical roadblocks in business terms to executive management

• Government experience a plus: DOE, EPA, State Env. Legislation

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to work independently and self-manage project responsibilities and deadlines.
