In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions, you'll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions. GXP is seeking a motivated candidate to join it's software engineering team as a summer intern. In this exciting opportunity you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and installing software solutions as part of a small but growing team. GXP has a number of commercial products including the GXP Platform, GXP Xplorer, GXP WebView, GXP InMotion, and Socet GXP. General daily responsibilities include: - Implementing new features to our web-based and server-based products - Investigating new technologies and open-source software for inclusion into our products - Development in Java or JavaScript - Design of new enhancements - Work with a mentor to learn about software principles / technical development Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Enrolled in an accredited 4-year or Masters's engineering/technical degree program pursing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
Basic understanding of and skills in software design and coding, including Object Oriented Analysis & Design
Exposure to programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C#, etc) Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with IDE's such as Visual Studio, NetBeans
Experience with Configuration Management tools (git, Subversion, etc)
Experience with build systems such as Maven and Ant Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $42931 - $57949 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
