The Sr. Process Engineer oversees manufacturing processes from metal preparation to final product cleaning, focusing on process characterization, control implementation, and sustaining operations. Collaborating with Quality Engineering and Production, they drive continuous improvement to meet site objectives and ensure product and process conformity to various requirements.

We are a primary supplier of various products, including titanium-etched bipolar electrolyzer plates used in hydrogen power generation plants, titanium surgical mesh, EMI/RF shields, and anodes and cathodes for fuel cells. Additionally, our Decorative Products Division is responsible for designing, manufacturing, finishing, and distributing collectible ornaments, collectibles, and jewelry to wholesale customers.

Description

Take ownership of processes across various work centers, including metal preparation, lithography coating and printing, metal etching, and metal cleaning.

Establish consistent and reliable processes by conducting process characterization, implementing process controls, and implementing fail-safe measures.

Lead initiatives to ensure consistency in multi-shift operations, including documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs), providing on-the-job training, developing training checklists, conducting certifications, and managing re-certification processes.

Assist in CAPEX expansion projects by identifying equipment needs, conducting feasibility runs, creating IQ/OQ/PQ factory and site acceptance test plans, and facilitating production releases.

Adhere to PEI's Engineering Change Control policy and procedures.

Provide support to the Material Review Board (MRB), participating in activities related to the investigation and disposition of non-conforming products and components.

Take charge of problem-solving efforts within your area of responsibility, striving to identify root causes and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).

Train department colleagues in effective problem-solving techniques and best practices.

Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) activities aimed at seizing new business opportunities.

Profile

A Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering) is a mandatory requirement. An advanced degree in engineering or business is highly desirable. Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in Process Engineering, or a combination of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and/or Product Engineering. Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with both internal and external Quality Management System (QMS) audit experience. Demonstrated ability to analyze, identify, and effectively resolve problems is a crucial skill. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role. Candidates must be customer-service-oriented, prioritize quality, and maintain a commitment to safety.
