New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a resource for a 6-month contract position with potential extension or conversion.

The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, Facility will be responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within our client's Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the on-site management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Emergency response to facility related issues.
  • Visibility of critical electrical and cooling systems needed to perform daily tasks and response.
  • Access to CMMS system to track and complete equipment repairs.
  • Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military/ Trade School) Degree and relevant experience
  • Electrical and mechanical background - troubleshooting skills
  • 2+ years Mechanical and/or Electrical Operations experience
  • 2+ years of Data Center Engineering Experience
  • Emergency response to facility related issues. Visibility of critical electrical and cooling systems needed to perform daily tasks and response. Access to CMMS system to track and complete equipment repairs.
  • Building management experience - familiar with critical electrical and cooling systems
  • Support Maintenance requests
  • Familiar with and Utilize building management systems
  • Experience with ticket ques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment
  • Able to lift/ move up to 40 pounds independently and able to balance and perform construction tasks

Compensation: $33.00 per hour
