Position Description:
Reporting to the Applications Engineering Leader in each sub vertical in Air Cooled Applications, the Portfolio Simplification Program Manager will be dedicated to support PLS / product transitions and engage all business functions (Applications Engineering, Sales, Customer order processing, Site manufacturing, Materials Planning and Scheduling, Procurement, Demand Planning, Supply planning and Quality) to drive an integrated approach to Product Line Simplification and Portfolio Optimization activities.

This role has ownership for the end to end execution of the product line simplification and product transition programs. The selected individual will be accountable for ensuring the program steps are part of an effective standard work to plan to execute and eliminate product/program exits and sun sets. Additionally the program manager will be tasked to deliver an effective communication plan to the Sites, Applications Engineering, Sales, Procurement and all other relevant groups.

Key Responsibilities:
Process Leadership:
Providing thought leadership, complete oversite and standard work to the organization on Product Line Simplification and Production Transition management.
Personally lead the product exits and transition programs to completion including organizing standard cadence meetings with the key stakeholders:
End to End Program Management oversight.
Stakeholder Reviews / with viable and effective MOS
Thorough understanding of the customer contracts, to ensure all requirements are met (e.g. tooling returned, disposed, etc.)
Partner with the Portfolio Simplification Analyst and the factory materials organization to minimize stranded Raw/WIP/FG inventories, including finding alternative uses for stranded raw materials with the AE and procurement teams .
Coordinate last time buys with appropriate customer and internal partners
Project Management and Facilitation : Manage and facilitate the planning, development and implementation of operational strategies during the life cycle transition of products and product lines. Provide leadership for transition project teams responsible for process and product analyses and characterization methods.
Timeline Management : Ensure the PLS / product transition process is completed on time, within budget with associated cost savings and limited customer impact. Ensures adherence to the product transitions strategies, plans, and schedules.
Implement solid control plans and project milestones to ensure success
Provide leadership for the Portfolio Simplification Analysts for all projects
Assign workload and direction for the Portfolio Simplification Analysts
Ensure participation in Portfolio and Demand Meetings ( SIOP )
Process Improvement: Identify areas of inefficiency within existing product and portfolio management processes. Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce complexity, and drive operational excellence. Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions and measure the impact of simplification efforts.
Performance Tracking and Reporting: Define key performance indicators and develop reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of simplification initiatives. Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate program status, achievements, and areas requiring further attention to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 yrs Supply Chain, Applications Engineering or related business experience
Minimum 3 years of experience with MRP systems
High Level MS Project Proficiency
Excellent communication/presentation and team building skills.
Strong Analytical Skills
Ability to analyze and manipulate large quantities of data.
Strong Interpersonal skills
Cross Functional Integrated Supply Chain Experience preferred
PMP Certification desirable
Education Requirements:
Bachelor degree required in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering
