Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
  • Oversee all electrical engineering aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive electrical plans and designs
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion within set parameters
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and provide technical guidance as needed

2. Team Leadership:
  • Lead a team of electrical engineers and designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting innovation, creativity, and continuous learning
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure effective communication and coordination across teams

3. Technical Expertise:
  • Utilize BIM, REVIT, AUTOCAD, Bluebeam, and other software tools to develop electrical plans, layouts, and schematics
  • Conduct electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and lighting design to optimize energy efficiency and performance
  • Review and approve electrical shop drawings, submittals, and material specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to drive innovation and enhance technical capabilities

4. Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of electrical designs and installations
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve any deficiencies or non-compliance issues
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to address any design changes, value engineering opportunities, or scope adjustments
  • Ensure all electrical work meets safety standards and regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering in the construction industry
  • Strong proficiency in BIM, REVIT, AUTOCAD, Bluebeam, Electrical, ProCore, and ConEST
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations
  • Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Professional certifications or licenses in electrical engineering or project management are desirable
