Job Details

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other associated regulations by obtaining and maintaining all necessary permits.
Reporting Expertise: Review and prepare reports related to OSHA and environmental compliance, maintaining thorough documentation.
Technical Support: Provide valuable technical support to plant personnel regarding OSHA, state and federal environmental, and DOT regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for improving Health and Safety performance across the site.
Industrial Hygiene: Oversee the Industrial Hygiene Monitoring Program for the plant and maintain all facility EHS records/files.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental codes and regulations.
Training Skills: Ability to educate and train employees on EHS programs.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in word-processing and spreadsheet applications (MS Word & Excel preferred).
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills.
Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Leadership Competencies: Proven leadership skills including problem-solving, decision-making, motivation, ethical performance, teamwork, and results orientation.
Environmental Expertise: Knowledge of air permits, emissions reporting, stormwater management, and hazardous waste management.
Experience: Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
