Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Solar Systems Designer, you will be responsible for:

1. Designing and drafting detailed solar photovoltaic (PV) system plans using AutoCAD and other solar design software like Helioscope and Aurora.
2. Collaborating with engineers and architects to design and layout solar PV systems for large utility scale commercial projects.
3. Preparing and modifying drawings, calculations, and specifications for solar PV projects.
4. Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
5. Conducting site visits to gather necessary data for design and implementation.
6. Assisting with the preparation of proposals, reports, and project presentations.
7. Collaborating with project managers to develop project schedules and budgets.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in solar energy.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in solar PV system design.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Helioscope, Aurora and/or other solar design software.
3. Experience in drafting and technical drawing.
4. NABCEP certification is preferred.
5. Experience with large utility scale commercial projects.
6. Strong understanding of solar system components and their installation.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
9. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
10. A strong commitment to safety and sustainable practices.
