GDIT: Direct Placement Full Time Opportunity

Location: Langley, VA (Travel Overseas is required)

Salary: $110k - $115k

Our client is one of the top aerospace and defense corporations and is looking to hire an Air Space Planner out of their Langley, VA location to work on a project they have won with the Federal Government. This person would be required to sit onsite in Langley, VA but would also travel overseas frequently to complete missions assigned to their team. This individual does require a Security Clearance and valid US passport.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and security of our nation as an Operations Analyst Advisor at GDIT. You ll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable military strategy for the Air Force Community.   • At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Operations Analyst Advisor (Air Space Planner) you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on an Operations Analyst Advisor (Air Space Planner) joining our team to support our ACC Program.
  • The RQ-4 Operations and Airspace Planning Systems Support compiles information to help make decisions regarding military strategy. Analysts may work in the field interpreting data about enemy operations, or they may evaluate broader military processes in consulting positions. Responsibilities will include researching and modeling military systems performance and operations; developing analytical methods and tools to facilitate analyses; executing trade studies; performing data analytics & statistical analysis; and developing effective presentations that succinctly communicate results and findings.


How you will make an impact:
  • Coordinating airspace access for RQ4/RPA Operations with FAA authorities, affected air traffic control facilities, and host nation civil/military airspace authorities.
  • Prepare background papers, briefings, staff packages, CONOPS, AFIs, and strategic planning documents including presentations.
  • Research military systems performance and operations.
  • Participate in the Global Hawk System Safety Group as ACC ops representative.
  • Assist in development of exercise requirements and objectives to ensure system capabilities are appropriately employed in each scenario.
  • Promote safe and efficient use of airspace, increasing effectiveness at all levels.


Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree or 4 years relevant work experience in lieu of education (may be the combination of active duty, government service and/or contractor).
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience.
  • TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Knowledge of RQ-4 system, performance, capabilities, mission planning, and concept of operations.
  • Knowledge of airspace management and air traffic control procedures.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Military rated pilot expertise in manned or unmanned aircraft.
  • Experience in reconnaissance operations, RQ4/RPA systems or operational airborne ISR mission area.
