Job Details

As the Quality Engineer, you will:
  • Interface with Production, Engineering, Field Service, Purchasing, Supplier, and Shipping and Receiving to ensure that applicable procedures are followed.
  • Aid in the creation and implementation of new QMS and related procedures.
  • Lead or participate in failure/problem resolutions, data collection and analysis, and continuous improvement activities
  • Conduct internal QMS audits as scheduled and required.
  • Serve as a communication conduit to resolve quality-related issues with all affected departments
  • Lead or track the progress of key Quality Initiatives
  • Interface with the Field Service department to ensure field service events are properly reported into the quality database
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities when required by the Plant Manager
  • Champion the QA process throughout the value chain.

Qualifications
• Work experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment and system integration environment is highly preferred
• Four-year technical degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience in design and development, manufacturing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English (both written and oral)
• Knowledge of inspection processes, functional test processes, environmental test processes
• Ability to perform electrical, mechanical and visual inspection functions utilizing basic inspection equipment
• Experience in an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment is required
• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Experience with the implementation of SPC, problem-solving methodologies, and continuous improvement methods
• Knowledge of problem solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, etc.)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
