As a Marine Design Engineer, you'll be a key player in various design programs for our Marine division. Your role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from conceptualization to testing and support. You might find yourself on the water, in the lab, collaborating with teams, or working closely with suppliers. This position is ideal for someone with high energy, a passion for powertrains, excellent design skills, and a knack for creative problem-solving. Possible relocation assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design marine powertrain systems and components using SolidWorks.

  • Understand gasoline engine operations and design associated systems like exhaust, cooling, intake, and electrical controls.

  • Knowledge of powertrain cooling systems, including pumps and heat exchangers.

  • Emphasize design for manufacturability and assembly.

  • Generate innovative concept designs.

  • Take designs from concept to production.

  • Perform predictive analysis using FEA & CFD.

  • Collaborate with purchasing and manufacturing teams.

  • Participate in DFMEA/DVP&R activities.

  • Support product testing, validation, and production launch.

  • Drive product validation through various testing methods.

  • Continuously improve designs based on test data and warranty analysis.

  • Resolve production and product-related issues.

  • Lead communications with internal and external suppliers for issue resolution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Naval Engineering.

  • Strong mechanical design expertise.
