Job Details

Job Purpose:
The Process Engineer is responsible for managing plant-wide dairy losses and wastewater generation, driving initiatives to reduce waste, and improving sustainability efforts. This role involves data analysis, systems management, and collaboration with various teams to enhance environmental impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage loss and wastewater reports
  • Drive waste reduction, water conservation, and utility savings initiatives
  • Implement innovative methods to track product loss data
  • Review and report daily wastewater and product loss data
  • Lead capital projects for utilities, water systems, and wastewater solutions
  • Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders and authorities
  • Create tools to monitor product loss data
  • Collaborate with production to identify water and product savings opportunities
  • Focus on reducing emissions and enhancing energy efficiency

Skills/Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in the food industry or environmental field
  • Strong data analysis and process improvement skills
  • Project management expertise with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of wastewater operations and chemistry
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Food Safety Requirements:
  • Maintain critical control points, aseptic standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Implement corrective actions and system changes as needed
  • Accountable for food safety audits and internal quality programs
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and government standards

Reports to: Vice President of Environmental, Safety and Health
