This is a hybrid remote position

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Structural Engineer to join our growing team in the Solar PV industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of structural analysis and design experience for commercial and industrial projects, with experience leading a project or two. We would still consider candidates with strong C&I experience interested in growing into a PM.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, analyze, and detail structures, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and standards (ASCE 7, IBC, UL).
  • Utilize AutoCAD to prepare structural drawings and designs.
  • Conduct structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry structures, and some timber using building codes for large-scale commercial buildings.
  • Use Excel and other software tools for engineering calculations and data analysis.
  • Design and optimize commercial-scale Solar PV structures, ensuring their structural integrity and efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within Solar PV industry
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards (ASCE 7, IBC, UL).
  • Experience with Solar PV structures is highly desirable.
  • Experience designing cold formed and hot rolled steel, concrete, and/or wood structures
  • EIT or PE is a plus
  • Some travel may be required for site visits nationally
