Job Details

  • BS in Electrical Engineering with 3 - 5 years of experience in power systems designs.
  • Experience working with NRTL agencies such as UL, CSA, CE
  • Implementation of Three-phase power systems up to 600VAC
  • High Voltage DC experience up to 1000VDC
  • EV Chargers and associated power requirements
  • Designs developed to meet NRTL (UL, FCC, etc.) requirements.
  • Must have ability to fully and accurately document the design process from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems such as ISO-9000 or QS-9000
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI safety
  • Solid understanding of electricity both AC and DC
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment such as DMM's, Current Probes, Oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Familiarity with CAN communication is a plus.

Essential Job Functions:
Develop systems for integrating power modules into high-power EV chargers.
Manage sourcing and evaluation of power electronic modules, collaborating with software and controls engineers for successful product development.
Assist mechanical engineers in meeting electrical and thermal requirements for EV charger system design.
Establish policies and processes for building and testing high-power EV chargers in collaboration with manufacturing engineers.
Create detailed battery design specifications based on inputs from the business development, sales team, and customers.
Read, write, and build battery systems solutions using wiring diagrams.
Provide oversight for total system integration from early procurement to final assembly support.
Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and NRTL agencies to define design specifications, assembly processes, and documentation.
