This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced program with DCS Corp's U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Ground Vehicle Systems Center engineering group located in Warren, MI. As an experienced Software Engineer, you will work alongside our U.S. Army Software Engineering Center customer, applying your knowledge and skills by providing technical engineering services that support the development of software requirements, architecture, design, code and test for the Modular Active Protection System (MAPS) Program.
This work will include supporting the system design, development of software requirements, supporting the test of operational software products. It will involve the coordination and integration of other software activities and products from other supplying entities.

Essential Job Functions:

Execute all software engineering activities in a managed, controlled, and efficient manner consistent with the established organizational processes.

Communication skills required to interface with systems and software development engineers as well as customer.

Develop and document Software Requirements based on the System/Subsystem Architecture.

Maintain Software Requirements in DOORs.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.

Experience with Atlassian tools, Bitbucket (git), Jira, Confluence.

Experience with interface requirements development.

Experience in breaking down high level requirements(decomposition) to the CSCI level.

Experience with DOOR linking for traceability.

Understanding of SysML, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams.

Previous experience writing and interpreting software requirements.

Fluent in MS Office Tools (creating test plans, procedures, etc.).

Desired Skills:

Experience exporting DOORs requirements using Rational Publishing Engine.

Experience working with systems in a lab environment.
