2 years contract position (with opportunity for extension)
Contractor must have computer, cell phone, and reliable high-speed internet available while remote.

pay rate 55.00 to 60.00 per hour.

Department Requesting Resource: Advanced Efficiency Solutions
Initiative: Heat Recovery Program
Project Management support for the growing Heat Recovery Program including RFQL 5217, PON 5547, and the promotion of heat recovery solutions in the NY marketplace. The resource will support technical review of incoming applications, project manage successful submissions, support market engagement, and contribute to program.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of experience.
  • Technical & Professional Skills & Knowledge: Familiarity with building science/decarbonization and energy efficiency projects, particularly heat recovery projects. Has well developed understanding of relevant technical principles and their application to a program area. Develops/formulates Deployment issues, problems and needs in at least one technical area.
  • Creativity in Project & Program Development: Has developed and managed projects with little specific direction. Develops new projects and co-funding sources with own initiative. Carried out development of several projects through competitive solicitation phase that may or may not result from own initiative. Has provided ideas and rationale for program development in at least one technical area.
  • Organization Skills & Productivity: Has demonstrated ability to implement projects in a timely manner. Demonstrates the capability to manage all aspects of on-going projects with no supervision. Can prioritize workload with other responsibilities. Effectively discharges general technical and project management assignments in a timely manner. Demonstrates strategic thinking connected to the organization's goals.
  • Leadership / Interpersonal Relations / Judgement: Has demonstrated ability to effectively head working groups or program teams. Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple projects through their entire lifecycle, from proposal and contracting, through technical assistance, and project close out. Resolve issues to drive projects forward and proactively communicate with program participants on upcoming project deadlines and events, as well as overdue or insufficient documentation.
  • Develop working relationships with program stakeholders including manufacturers, engineers and building owners.
  • Review, evaluate, and constructively criticize or approve program deliverables, including contract scopes of work with budget and milestone schedules and various technical documentation. Ensure good program compliance for submitted applications, deliverables, and participants.
  • Support Team in designing, developing, and executing new strategies that increase market adoption of heat recovery solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of program resources and events for outreach and educational purposes.
  • Support reporting and data management within Salesforce.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the key outcomes for the Advanced Efficiency Solutions Team.

Notes from the manager:
  • Focused on Heat Recovery Program, which launched in October and offers funding to buildings to analyze their ability to capture/reuse wasted heat and design heat recover solutions for those buildings -
  • PM will be responsible for technical review of incoming applications and providing constructive feedback, PMing multiple approved heat recovery projects simultaneously through entire project lifecycle (from proposal/contracting to technical assistance to project closeout), ensuring their deliverables meet requirements.
  • Key skills: strong PM experience and attention to details, some familiarly with building science, long-term partnership development (e.g., with stakeholders, engineers, real estate manufacturers, technology solution providers, etc.).
  • Nice to have heat recovery program exposure.
  • Secondary responsibilities: create presentation content, contribute to case studies, supporting coordination of roundtables/events.
