This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering next generation combat vehicles for the U.S. Army. Working as a DCS employee, you will manage projects, perform systems engineering tasks, and support the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle System Center's next generation of autonomous vehicles.
Essential Job Functions:
Participate in requirements development.
Interface with internal and external customers
Support in develop system architecture documentation, ICD, and compliance verification matrix.
Characterize and measure system performance.
Coordinate and oversee systems engineering processes throughout product development life cycle.
Manage ground vehicle projects.
Provide technical leadership to a small team of engineers and technicians.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain secret clearance.
BS degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with ground vehicles.
Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and system level design and the ability to develop system level requirements and design artifacts.
Experience developing system and subsystem level requirements and designs for hardware and software implementations.
Experience working with COTS equipment: computers, network switches, radio communications, power supplies, wire harnesses, and other equipment.
Experience working on ground vehicle projects.
Experience with power electronics and vehicle electrical systems
Basic Project Management or technical project leadership experience.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficient with use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint).
Able to travel occasionally for domestic destinations in support of the program, potential for international travel.
Desired Skills:
Experience working with hybrid electric or electric vehicles.
Experience working with Army ground vehicle equipment: computers, network switches, radio communications, power supplies, wire harnesses, and other equipment.
Experience in the systems engineering, development, and operation of Ground Vehicle Systems.
Experience with ruggedized COTS and military grade equipment.
Experience performing Systems Engineering throughout product development life cycle.
Proficient with DOORS or other requirements management tools.
