The Engineering department within Haleon's Oak Hill manufacturing facility is made up of engineers, technicians & electricians that are responsible for ensuring that the facility & processes are reliable, safe, compliant and efficient. We are also responsible for the effective introduction of new equipment and processes to the site by working closely with other departments to help improve everyday health with humanity. The Haleon Oak Hill site makes toothpaste, with popular brands such as Aquafresh, Senodyne and Pronamel coming from our facility. You will help support the facility to produce these popular brands by assisting in operational and capital engineering.

As an engineering Co-Op you will have the opportunity to work within a number of different teams such as Utilities, Maintenance and Capital Projects where you will have real responsibilities from day 1 and learn skills such as presenting, root cause analysis, project management and troubleshooting.

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?
  • Compilation and analysis of machine breakdown data
  • Preparation of small to medium value project investment proposals
  • Root cause analysis investigations of process abnormalities & breakdowns
  • Implementing actions to improve workplace safety
  • Management & scheduling of preventative maintenance
  • Identification of energy efficiency opportunities
  • Implementation of machinery safety initiatives such as interlocks & guarding to improve operator safety.
  • Preparation of compliance status reports
  • Working with internal customers & stakeholders across all levels at site

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:

Education required:
  • Pursuing a BS degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related field
  • Have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a degree program.
  • Candidate must be eligible to work on a full-time basis during the internship duration (40 hours/week)
  • Commitment for a 6 month co-op
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization
  • 3.0 or greater cumulative GP

The hourly rate for this role will be $22/hour for juniors and $24/hour for seniors
