Company is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. We own an interest in or operate several thousand miles of pipelines and 100s of terminals. Our pipelines transport natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2) and more. Our terminals store and handle petroleum products, chemicals and other products.

The contract assignment has no (PTO) paid time off (this includes no paid holiday and paid vacation). Contractors can request for time off and take time off but please understand it's not paid time off. If this is not a good fit, please do not apply. Contractors are also responsible for their own parking in downtown Houston.

The following benefits are available with the contract assignment:

-Minimal essential health coverage paid by Abrams Technical Services, Inc. in full but only to the Contractor. This coverage plan also offers a buy up option at the Contractors expense if they wish to increase their coverage.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Specify EFM equipment
  • Specify peripheral equipment (enclosures, power supplies, solar power systems, transmitters, modems, cabling, terminal blocks, I.S. barriers, etc.)
  • Perform configuration of and technical support for products flow computers: ABB Spirit and FlowX, Omni, and Emerson ROCs.
  • Write function sequence tables (FST) for Emerson ROCs
  • Evaluate new EFM equipment
  • Work with vendors on EFM panel design
  • Provide factory acceptance and site acceptance testing of EFM systems
  • Provide engineering support to operations on a daily basis
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues found in the field
  • Use lab facilities to emulate and resolve issues found in the field
  • Write documentation for EFM systems
  • Train field personnel in use of EFM equipment
  • Apply the company's design and operating philosophy within the field locations to meet corporate goals for safety, regulatory compliance, efficiency, and profitability
  • Develop and generate project scope documents, schedules, costs estimates, budget forecasts as required with moderate direction from supervisor
  • Effectively prioritize workload between several projects
  • Significantly contributes to meeting business objectives by generating and implementing project ideas
  • Regular and predictable attendance
