This is a hybrid role.
As an entry-level signal processing and communications engineer you will work on tasks related to communication systems and their applications. This position requires the ability to apply sound engineering fundamentals for the design and implementation of signal processing algorithms. Design projects typically last 12 to 18 months and you may be working on electronic systems, GPS, PNT, UAV or missile programs, or space-based systems. Strong fundamentals and a desire to learn are critical in this position. You will work in a fast paced environment, collaborating in multidisciplinary teams, with opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to a variety of projects. Applicants should possess solid electrical engineering skills and have interest in digital signal processing and communication topics. Specific Responsibilities: • Design and implementation of DSP algorithms for communication systems • Hardware prototype bring up and debugging • Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members • Research novel solutions to challenging problems in communication systems • Deliver technical presentations to internal and external customers Required Qualifications: • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar • Background with digital signal processing or communication systems • Familiarity implementing signal processing algorithms for communication systems • Experience with electronic design, validation of designs in the lab, and instrumentation • Knowledgeable of modeling and simulation in MATLAB • Interest in hardware electronics • Strong analysis and problem solving skills • Self-motivated, attention to detail, and must thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment • Excellent written and oral communication skills Security Requirement: Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, such clearance requires proof of US citizenship.
