Energy REACTS Engineer RPI Group, Inc. seeks a highly motivated Energy REACTS Engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career managing a Department of Defense energy portfolio for a fast-paced Pentagon office. This candidate is a leader and technical advisor to the Director of the Navy Operational Energy Office. The candidate will: • Work with energy leaders in industry, academia and the government with the chance to build relationships and grow a professional network. • Lead and manage a Department of Defense energy portfolio and advise senior leaders on energy technology and policy. • Improve energy efficiency on facilities, buildings, and vehicles and incubate and drive next-generation energy solutions. • Organize and deliver an annual energy report to shape energy policy. Position Description:
The Energy REACTS Engineer is a leader and technical advisor to the Director of the Navy Operational Energy Office. In this role, the Energy REACTS Engineer collaborates with energy leaders; leads budgetary and analytical oversight of a technical portfolio; shapes and communicates Navy energy strategy; tracks power and energy technologies; and performs technical reviews. Roles and Responsibilities:
The Energy REACTS Engineer will: • Work with energy leaders in industry, academia and the government. • Lead Energy REACTS-an energy technical portfolio-and advise senior leaders on energy technology and policy. • Prepare an annual energy report for Department of Defense and Congress. • Create a strategy for next-generation power and energy technology. Qualifications and Education Requirements: • Within the last 5 years, candidate must have had 2+ years' experience in operational energy technology • Experience in portfolio management and budgeting • Experience in data analytics and model-based systems engineering tools • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline • U.S. Citizen • Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance Preferred Skills: • 5+ years of experience in an engineering position related to operational energy • Prior experience with technology integration and acquisition requirements for Navy and Marine Corps platforms and weapons systems • Experience with database management • Master's degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline • SECRET security clearance EOE: Including Disability/Vets
