The Merrimack New Hampshire campus portfolio includes a 185-acre site with 6 main buildings totaling approximately 610,000 square feet of space. This site also hosts test ranges including 4 air inflated structures. There are two leased facilities off campus. The first is a 3-story office building located on Manchester Street totaling approximately 50,000 square feet. The second is a two-story combination office and lab building located on Continental Boulevard and is approximately 96,000 square feet. The portfolio also includes an 11-acre test site in Milford New Hampshire utilizing a naturally flooded quarry and associated buildings for specialized testing. The buildings and sites house a variety of different business and functions for BAE's Electronic Sector. Space use ranges from Electro-Optic Laser Labs, Autoclave and oven curing, temperature and humidity controlled robotic coating, Anechoic test chambers, Advanced Composite processing, Test Services including vibration, mechanical shock, thermal, rapid transition altitude testing. Other space use includes light manufacturing, DOD closed area research/testing, computer/server environments, standard office spaces including executive spaces for specific business leadership teams. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse Facilities Organization collaborating with functional partners (Security, Human Resources, Safety, Health and Environmental, IT, Finance, and Purchasing). The successful candidate will lead a Plant Engineering site team consisting of supervisors, skilled and license trades (electricians, HVAC mechanics, plumbers, chemical safety inspectors, facility mechanics and building automation specialists) providing services, maintenance and repair, upgrades and renovations supporting our building occupants and the business for which they operate. The successful candidate will have experience in and demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties outlined below. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Business acumen
Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers. Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents. Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Analyze, evaluate, develop, implement processes and systems within budget adhering to time requirements and schedule. Design and develop improvements using state-of-the-art technology, principles, theories and concepts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive limited direction and manage with significant discretion and with independent judgment in taking action and making decisions related to managing assigned department. Provide department interface and extensive contact with the Site Executive(s), Site Leadership, Department Managers, Lab Managers, and other key building occupants. Provide leadership and support as required for the Business Continuity Program and act as Incident Commander for scenarios highlighted in the Emergency Response/Incident Management Plan.
Develop relations and collaborate with other functional support organizations such as Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), Security, IT, and Finance. Work closely and collaborate within the facility functions such as planning, real estate, engineering, sustainability, facility services and other peer site managers.
Manage, select, supervise, counsel, train and evaluate a team of exempt and non-exempt personnel in accordance with company policies.
Ensure facility, infrastructure, grounds and parking areas are maintained in a safe accessible state of repair to ensure a sustained operation 24/7/365. Manage building services such as housekeeping, trash removal, snow removal, recycling, grounds care, repairs and maintenance using a combination of vendor and in-house resources. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
Develop multi-year capital plan and annual expense budgets. Upon final budget approvals, manage to those budgets.
Manage local Sustainability Initiative plans, goals and objectives, to ensure strategy alignment with company focus. Collaborate with Capital Project Managers for business related plant rearrangements, equipment installations and facility infrastructure upgrades/repairs assuring completed projects meet standards for operations and maintenance. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum education includes but is not limited to BS degree with engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc ) or a BS degree in a business discipline with knowledge of building systems and operations. Preferred minimum work experience includes ten years leadership experience preferably in Facilities Management with a focus on building and site operations. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred education includes master's or advanced degree in management, finance, organizational leadership with experience in managing multiple building sites with a variety of complex infrastructure support. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
